The
hotel, built in 1881 to serve the new Kilchattan pier constructed in
1880 to “facilitate travelling and the conveyance of goods, cattle and
effects to and from the Isle of Bute”, still retains its original
ambience but with the addition of modern conveniences for today’s
traveller.
All
rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities, multi-channel
'FreeView' colour televisions and most have stunning sea views over
Kilchattan bay and the Firth of Clyde.
Two
suites, with luxurious four-poster bed, are available for newlyweds on
honeymoon or just those who want an extra special stay. All rooms
have been refurbished to a high standard and compliments the
hotels impressive architecture.

Dining Room
Weddings,
dinners and special functions can be catered for in our large, elegant
dining room which seats up to 55 people. Residents of the hotel can
choose to eat in the dining room or in the lounge. Full Scottish
breakfast is also served each morning in these spendid surroundings.
The
bar and large comfortable lounge is the focal point of the hotel and as
we are open to non-residents, also serves as the 'local' for the
village.
The
facilities that we can offer shooting parties are first class and
include high security registered gun cabinets, dog kennels, drying
facilities and a walk-in refrigerated game store.
St
Blanes is the main agent for wildfoul and deer shooting on the island.
We can cater for shooting parties of any size.
For
families we have a large double room with an adjoining twin bed room.
We can also offer family accommodation in our larger double rooms, with
the addition of a single bed or cot.
Our
menus are designed to cater for all tastes. Special dishes are
available for children of all ages. Children are permitted in the bar
and lounge during the day and up to 8pm each evening.
